AN Easter Ross primary school was given a welcome treat to coincide with the recent World Book Day.

South Lodge Primary in Invergordon received a hamper with a selection of books from the community champion for the Alness Morrisons' store, June Ross.

Head teacher David Hayes-MacLeod said: "A massive thank you to the very kind-hearted June Ross from Morrisons who gifted a World Book Day hamper with a wonderful selection of books and South Lodge branded pencils.

"Thank you so much!"
