Body found in Inverness woods near Great Glen Way confirmed as 63-year-old man who was posted missing on June 9

The body of a man found in woods in Inverness has been formally identified as 63-year-old George Critch.

His body was found near to the Great Glen Way in Craig Phadraig Woods on Wednesday July 7.

In a statement, Police Scotland said: "His family have been informed and request that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a full report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

Mr Critch was reported missing from the Kinmylies area on June 9.

After his disappearance, police conducted a major search around the Great Glen Way.
