An optician shop has closed for a week after a Covid case in the family.

The Black Isle Optician in Avoch has closed its practice until September 8.

In an online announcement, Frances Jamieson said: "I'm sorry to report my son has been caught up in the Munlochy Primary Covid cluster.

"Although my own lateral flow tests have been negative (I am awaiting PCR results), in discussion with NHS Test & Protect I am closing the practice until the 8th of September to try to limit the spread as much as we can."
She added: "Thank you for your patience and understanding."
