A ROSS-SHIRE eatery closed earlier this week after a Covid alert has re-opened.

Sutor Creek Cafe in Cromarty announced this morning it is open following a full deep clean and staff-wide PCR tests.

It said it would be on a limited basis initially.

It said: "Our non-Covid, double jabbed, willing team are back to offer you a limited (but delicious) menu of wood-fired pizzas and deli items."

It thanked customers for their patience.

The news was warmly greeted by customers.

Hilary Scholes posted: "Fabulous news. Thank you all for working so hard. Stay safe."

Angela Coltherd wrote: "Glad to hear your back. Well done all of you."

It had closed on Monday evening after reporting that a staff member had tested positive for Covid.

It said then: "The health and safety of our team and customers is our priority so closing is our only option right now. Thanks for your support."
