Cromarty Community Council seeks volunteers

A COMMUNITY council on the Black Isle is looking to bolster its numbers to maximise what it can do to help local residents.

Cromarty and District Community Council issued the appeal after a lack of nominations at the most recent local elections left it limited in what it can do.

In an appeal for people to come forward, it said: "To ensure that the community receives the level of service it requires, we have the ability to co-opt new members on to the community council. If you are interested in joining , please e mail us at cromartydistriccc@gmail.com

Anyone wanting more information is asked to contact any of the current community council members whose details may be found on its website.

It has asked for applications to be in by February 23.
