A BLACK Isle beach party with a difference has generated a £500 boost towards easing the humanitarian disaster in Ukraine.

The show of support by the Rosemarkie Amenities Beach Cafe on Saturday saw all profits to the cause.

Profits from the effort – which included a Guess the Teddy's Birthday and mini raffle – will go to the UK Disaster Emergency Committee.

Organisers said: "A huge thank you to everyone that bought a coffee, lunch or raffle ticket. We can now donate a fantastic £500 towards rapid response medical kits. £140 from raffle, £265 cafe profit and £95 donation from ourselves, Rosemarkie Amenities Association."
