Moody landscapes, famous landmarks and wildlife feature in a new exhibition of photographs in Inverness.

Jared MacKay, a landscape, adventure, and automotive photographer, has put together the display for the community gallery in the Eastgate Shopping Centre.

Mr MacKay, who is a CAA certified drone pilot, has captured images from places such as Falls of Shin, Wailing Widow Waterfall, and Eilean Donan Castle as well as close-up wildlife photographs.

He has been a photographer for four years after being inspired by road trips around the Highlands with friends and seeing stunning locations.

"After maximising what I could do with my phone camera and seeing various Scottish photographers on social media documenting their trips, I took the plunge and purchased my first digital single-lens reflex camera," he said.

"Four years, thousands of miles, and several camera upgrades later, I'm still doing it and loving every minute of it."

The community gallery is located next to Next and gives local schools, community groups, artists, and photographers the opportunity to showcase their visual art at a prime city centre location for free.

The exhibition runs until Tuesday November 30.

Following Mr MacKay's exhibition, the gallery will host work by architectural technology students at Inverness College UHI.
