Biker dies after accident on Highland road near Garve

A 52-year-old motorcyclist has died after an accident on a Highland road this morning.

The man was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with serious injuries following a crash on the A835 at the junction of the A832 near Garve at around 8.35am.

He died in hospital following the collision between the red Honda he was driving and a white Volvo XC70.

Police said the driver and passenger of the Volvo were uninjured.

Sergeant David Miller said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.

“We are appealing to anyone with further information or dashcam footage to contact us. Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1135 of May 15.”
