Motorcyclist taken to hospital after Muir of Ord collision





A MAN has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in a Ross-shire village this morning.

Police have confirmed a motorist will be reported to the procurator fiscal for a road traffic offence.

Police were alerted at around 10am this morning following the collision which happened in Muir of Ord.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At 10am on Saturday, 14 September, 2024 we were called to a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Great Northern Road, Muir of Ord.

"Emergency services attended and the motorcycle rider, a 63-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment.

"The driver of the car will be reported to the procurator fiscal for a road traffic offence. Enquiries ongoing."
