AULTBEA residents have been busy hand-crafting poppies ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

Ahead of Remembrance Sunday on November 10, Isle View Nursing Home residents have been crafting paper poppies out of cupcake cases and tissue paper to decorate the Wester Ross nursing home.

“We have a specific group of residents that really enjoy arts and crafts, it’s a nice way for staff to spend time with residents chatting about their experiences of previous Remembrance Sundays and what it means to them.” said Lynn McDonald, manager of the nursing home. “It's also nice for staff to do fun things with the residents — and some of the staff are really talented.”
