A WESTER Ross tourist attraction has launched an audio guide featuring local artists as part of a museum display.

The Wise Women and the Earth exhibition in the Sawyer Gallery at Inverewe is accompanied by an audio experience to accompany the visitor in a walk around the National Trust for Scotland site.

The Songlines recording draws on the tradition of stories and folklore to take visitors on a tour of the garden, evoking its natural and cultural history with poetry, song and spoken word.

A range of artists are featured, who used a variety of mediums to create their work.

The exhibition, which runs until Halloween, features artists Ann Coomber, Lynn Bennet-Mackenzie, Dorje-Khandro David, Mandy Haggith, Joanne B Kaar, and Katherine Sutherland.

Their works explore themes related to the environment and are based on their experiences at Inverewe.

Kevin Frediani, operations manager at Inverewe, said: “We are so proud that Inverewe has provided such a rich seam of inspiration for them and the work we’re showcasing is completely steeped in their experience of one of Scotland’s national and natural treasures.”
