Dashcam and witness appeal after A9 crash at Delny near Invergordon forces road closure

POLICE have appealed to drivers with dashcam footage of a car involved in an accident on a Ross-shire stretch of the A9 earlier today to come forward.

The single-vehicle collision happened on the A9 at Delny, near Invergordon at around 3.50pm today.

It involved a 56-plate silver Vauxhall Astra which left the road and collided with trees. Diversions were put in place and it is understood that four fire engines were called to the scene, from Tain, Inverness and Dingwall.

No status report on any injuries has been given.

Police said that enquires are currently ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Officers are requesting anyone who may have seen this car travelling North on the A9 towards Delny, or who has dashcam footage of the car, to get in touch.
