A chemical spill near Inverness train station is causing cancellations this morning.

The oil spill took place last night — although there was also a spill on Sunday night, which also saw disruption.

All routes from Inverness are cancelled and replacement buses have been put on.

A ScotRail spokesperson said: “No services are operating between Inverness and Wick/Thurso, Aberdeen, and Perth, due to a fuel spillage in Inverness.

“We’re sorry for the disruption.

“We are working to restart services as quickly as possible. Keep an eye on our social media channels for the latest updates.”
