A DIEHARD Ross-shire shinty fan has won a unique memento of an historic victory.

Kinlochshiel Shinty Club raffled a personalised number plate donated by a benefactor to help boost club funds.

The club made history by winning the sport's most prized trophy, the Camanachd Cup.

After being given the donation to use for the benefit of the club, it flagged "an exciting opportunity" to fans to own their very own celebratory Camanachd Cup vehicle registration plate.

The plate in question aptly reads CC21 KLS.

The registration plate would be the pride of any diehard fan of the club.

Well-wishers were invited to pick a number from a prize draw in return for a donation to club funds. The winner was drawn last night – with Fiona Peem Henderson the lucky winner.

The club posted: "A worthy winner who has been an avid Shiel fan for as long as she can remember. Well done.

"A big thank you to all who bought tickets and a very big thank you to the anonymous donor of the plate, you know who you are. Thank you."
