An Teallach hill race raises at least £1600 for Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team

AT least £1600 has been raised for Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team following a successful hill race at the weekend.

The cash was raised through the fifth annual An Teallach hill race on Saturday – which saw 127 runners take part.

Records tumbled during the race, with the first man and woman over line both setting new course records.

Results: Men – 1, Andrew Fallas, Carnethy Hill Runners 1.14.41 (new course record); 2, Ross Spalding, Ochil Hill Runners 1.18.38; 3, Alasdair Campbell, Cambuslang Harriers 1.18.56.

Women – 1, Gill Stephen, Hunters Bog Trotters 1.29.43 (new course record); 2, Helen Fallas, Carnethy Hill Runners 1.39.56; 3, Ruth Crewe, Westerlands CC Club 1.44.39.
