BIKERS on the North Coast 500 sometimes get a bad rap...

Yet there are no complaints about the exploits of a group who set out from Alness decked out as Star Wars characters.

Robin's run, in memory of the late Robin Finlayson, saw a group of friends saddle up on 50cc mopeds for a trundle around the route, raising funds for Highland Hospice.

The effort this year hauled in £7833 – bringing the running three-year total to over £25,000.

Last year, the group headed out dressed as superheroes, ensuring their fundraising effort didn't go unnoticed. Organiser Garry Coward said: "We're deliighted, as are Highland Hospice."
