An Alness Academy pupil’s graphic design skills have seen him win a competition to have his logo represent a local club.

Local skiff group, the Invergordon and Alness Rowing Club, called in the help of Alness Academy pupils to design them a new logo.

After many designs were submitted to the judges, the rowing club and Invergordon Port Authority, Logan Richardson’s logo was chosen as the winner — securing Logan a cash prize as his reward.

Alness Academy headteacher Tom Magowan said: “Well done to Logan Richardson who was chosen for his winning design for a new logo for Invergordon and Alness Rowing Club. We also had Sylva Rybanska from the rowing club join us in the art and design department to meet some of the pupils involved in the competition.”
