Alness A9 disruption warning as police help escort ‘abnormal load’
POLICE have warned of disruption between Nigg, Alness and Strathrory Wind Farm today (May 20) due to escorting an “abnormal load”.
Road policing officers are helping to escort the load, work having been due to commence at 10am and “expected to last most of the day”.
The route being taken is: B9175 (9.4km), along A9 to Alness (14.5km), turn off onto UNCLASSIFIED (900m), Obsdale Road (300m), Caplich Road (800m), Ardross Road (600m), UNCLASSIFIED (2.6km), B9176 Struie Road (5.5km).
A Police Scotland Highlands and Islands spokesperson said: “The load is very long and slow moving. Officers will minimise the disruption as much as possible. If you are likely to be travelling in the area please take care.
