‘BRING your dancing shoes to the party!’

That’s the simple advice for anyone planning catching the original ‘acid house’ groove-inflected Scottish traditional music pioneers Shooglenifty at a forthcoming Wester Ross gig.

The band performs at Ullapool’s Ceilidh Place venue on Thursday, October 17 as part of their autumn tour.

The band has been wowing audiences with their infectious take on Scottish traditional music for over 30 years.

A spokeswoman for the venue said: “Coming armed with a collection of new tunes alongside a bewildering library of absolute bangers, this is a rare opportunity to catch the pioneers of contemporary traditional music in an intimate setting.
