A9 Nigg to Adross disruption due to transportation of ‘abnormal load’

ROAD policing officers have warned of potential disruption on the A9 between Nigg and Ardross today (July 1), due to escorting an “abnormal load” through Easter Ross.

“The load is very long and slow moving,” said Police Scotland Highlands and Islands. “Officers will minimise the disruption as much as possible. If you are likely to be travelling in the area please take care. We would encourage you to check the current location of the convoy using this live tracking link and you’re your journey accordingly.”

The route is as follows: B9175 (9.4 km ), along A9 to Alness (14.5 km ), turn off onto UNCLASSIFIED (900 m ), OBSDALE ROAD (300 m ), CAPLICH ROAD (800 m ), ARDROSS ROAD (600 m ), UNCLASSIFIED (2.6 km ), B9176 Struie Road (5.5 km).
