A9 closed in both directions at Tain after three vehicle crash

The A9 has been closed in both directions after a crash involving three vehicles near Tain.

The alert was raised by Traffic Scotland at 1.49pm.

Road users have been advised to find alternative routes to travel while emergency services attend the scene.

A Traffic Scotland update said: “The A9 at Knockbreck, near Tain, is closed in both directions due to a multi vehicle road traffic accident. Road users are advised to use an alternative route at this time.”

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
