A9 closed in Ross-shire after crane, van and car collide in 3-vehicle crash, says Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS); collision occurred at Achnagarron, between Alness and Invergordon
A three vehicle crash involving a car, van and crane closed the A9 in Easter Ross this afternoon.
The collision happened at around 3.18pm at Achnagarron, between Alness and Invergordon.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it had sent two appliances to the scene, one from Invergordon and another from Dingwall.
They added that there was at least one injured person who was being treated by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Traffic Scotland, meanwhile, has advised motorists that the road is closed in both directions "due to a multi-vehicle collision", adding that emergency services were on the scene, and telling motorists to "use caution on approach" and take an alternative route "at this time".
Police and the ambulance service have been approached for further information.
