A890 driver taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash





A DRIVER has been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle car crash in Wester Ross today.

The crash, which took place at around 1.40pm, occurred on the A890 south of Achnasheen, near Achnashellach Gorge.

The road was blocked in both directions due to the accident, and is understood multiple emergency services were called out to the scene. As of 4.15pm, traffic was understood be moving again.

Eyewitnesses also reported an air ambulance was at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving three cars on the A890 south of Achnasheen around 1.40pm on Tuesday, 23 July.

“The road was blocked and one person was being taken to hospital by the ambulance service.”
