A87 van fire sparks emergency response; Scottish Fire and Rescue Service called out to scene at Auchtertyre in Lochalsh

Firefighters were scrambled to the scene of a van fire on the A87 at Auchtertyre this morning.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called out at 11.47am to reports of a single vehicle on fire on the A87 at the junction with the A890.

A spokesperson confirmed that the fire involved a van. One appliance from Kyle of Lochalsh was called to the scene.

No other information was immediately available.
