A82 crash overlooking Loch Ness closes road between Drumnadrochit and Balchraggan; Traffic Scotland has urged Highland motorists to take care on the approach due to slowing traffic; Police Scotland ‘en route’

Police are en route following a crash on the A82 north of Drumnadrochit.

Traffic Scotland has now warned motorists that the road is closed both ways, after earlier saying it was partially blocked.

It said: “The A82 is closed in both directions between Balchraggan and Drumnadrochit, due to a road traffic incident. Motorists are advised to use an alternative route and expect longer than normal journey times.”

There was no immediate word as to the number of vehicles involved or if there were any injuries.
