Loch Ness-side crash on A82 between Drumnadrochit and Balchraggan leaves three people in Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, Scottish Ambulance Service confirms
Three people were taken to hospital after a crash closed the A82 on Thursday morning.
Emergency services were scrambled to the scene at 8.49am following the collision, which occurred on a stretch of the busy trunk road between Drumnadrochit and Balchraggan.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 8.49am to attend a road traffic collision on the A82 between Drumnadrochit and Balchraggan. We dispatched four ambulances to the scene. We transported three patients to Raigmore Hospital.”
The road reopened at around 10am but traffic flows were initially still slow while the vehicles awaited uplift, with the route fully clear by 11am.
There was no immediate word as to the number or type of vehicles involved.
Police were approached for information but failed to respond.
