28 more blood donors wanted for Seaboard Memorial Hall session at Balintore next week
THE Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) are asking Seaboard villagers to help keep Scotland’s blood stocks healthy by donating next week.
Budding lifesavers can make a date to donate from 5pm-7:30pm on Wednesday, September 25 at Seaboard Memorial Hall, Balintore.

Dr Sylvia Armstrong-Fisher, SNBTS head of territory said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the donors in the area who have already booked to give blood.
“However, we need more. At the moment we have 30 spaces booked out of 58. Balintore needs 28 more blood donors.
“Every time you give blood it’s split into three separate parts (red cells, platelets, and plasma), meaning three lives can potentially be saved or improved with every donation.
“However, blood has a shelf life of just 35 days, so we must make sure that supplies are continually replenished, and we fill our upcoming appointments.”
It’s not too late to make a potentially lifesaving appointment to donate next week.
If you’re fit, well and aged 17 or over you could be one of the 58 donors needed to attend next Wednesday’s session.
And if you’ve never given blood before or haven’t given in a while, the team would love to give you a warm welcome.
