One person has been taken to hospital after an accident partially blocked the A87 road west of Fort Augustus earlier today.

Police remain at the scene of the one-vehicle incident, between Bun Loyne and Invergarry, with traffic control measures in operation and one lane remaining open.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called to a one vehicle road crash on the A87 near Invergarry around 12.20pm on Wednesday, 4 September, 2024.

"Emergency services are in attendance and one person has been taken to hospital to be checked over.

"One lane of the road is open while vehicle recovery is arranged."
