DAVIS Keillor-Dunn says that Ross County’s 7-0 thrashing of Clachnacuddin on Tuesday night was the ideal confidence builder ahead of their opening Betfred Cup group game against Elgin City tomorrow.

Greg Morrison scored a screamer to add to Declan McManus’ double and further goals from Billy Mckay, Harry Paton, Josh Mullin and an own goal all put Clach to the sword earlier this week.

The visit to Grant Street saw the Staggies deploy a change of system as Stuart Kettlewell and Steven Ferguson sent their men out in a 3-4-3 formation.

Keillor-Dunn in particular suited the change, as he had the freedom to find pockets of space whether they were out wide or in a more central area.

With a fully fit squad and having tried a couple of different shapes in pre-season, the Englishman doesn’t know how County will play tomorrow.

But he says that Tuesday proved that 3-4-3 is a viable option should the managers choose to employ it again.
