THE hunt is on for a new chairman to take over the running of a forward-thinking community council on the Black Isle.
The current chair of Ferintosh Community Council, Bruce Morrison, is standing down at the AGM in May, after six years in the position.
The seven community councillors have stated their intent to continue with all their various responsibilities at least until the end of this election cycle in November 2019.
Mr Morrison said: “This role, working with an experienced and committed team, would bring rewards in many ways to any resident looking to work in his or her own community.
"Developing new relationships, influencing future development, learning about our democratic system are just some of the benefits of what we do. We are all looking forward to working with a new chair.”
The community council covers a large area which has approximately 1500 registered voters, and includes the community of Culbokie.
