A MAN has died after an accident on a route running through Ross-shire.
The 63-year-old was the sole occupant of the Volvo V40 involved in the incident on the B9176 Struie road near Ardgay.
The accident happened at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, police said in a statement today.
The road was closed to allow for a collision investigation to take place, and it remains closed for structural examinations of a bridge on the route today.
Road policing officer Constable Kate Park said: “Our thoughts go out to the family of the driver who has sadly died in this collision."I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision, and who has not yet spoken to police to contact us 101 and quote reference number NE/3995/18.”
