A ROSS-SHIRE grandmother, whose body was found last week following her disappearance two months ago, will be buried tomorrow (Friday).

Alice Jack (58) had been missing since March 6, when she was last seen walking in the Blackrock Gorge area near Evanton.

Her body was found by a member of the public last week in the River Glass, Glenglass, also near Evanton.

Mrs Jack is survived by her husband Roddie, son John Cassie, daughter-in-law Sharon, grandchildren Rachel and Charley, and brother Victor.

Her funeral service will be held today at Kiltearn Parish Church in Evanton at 1pm and afterwards at Kiltearn Cemetery. Donations will go to the Highland Hospice.

Mrs Jack, who was from Evanton but lived in Dingwall, worked in several businesses in the town over the years and most recently was a familiar face at Munro’s butcher shop where she was employed for many years.

She has been described as “lovely, lively” by her son John, who lives in Peterhead.
