Former Inverness Craig Dunain player helps Scotland beat Springboks in South Africa

FORMER Inverness Craig Dunain player Jade Konkel came on as a replacement as Scotland defeated South Africa 31-17 in their first WXV match.

The Munlochy athlete came on and played 20 minutes for Scotland in the victory against the Springboks in Stellenbosch.

Scotland scored five tries in an impressive victory last weekend.

Konkel is expected to play in Scotland WXV’s match today when they take on United States in Athlone, South Africa with kick-off at 1pm.

Scotland will then face Japan in Athlone in their third WXV match on Friday, October 27 at 1pm.
