Stuart Nicolson (19) is teaming up with a Co-operative store workmate to boost the coffers of a children's cancer charity which has offered "huge support" for his eighteen-year-old sister Eilidh, who is receiving treatment for leukaemia at Glasgow's Royal Hospital for Sick Children.
Stuart, who works at the Co-operative food store in Morangie Road, is being joined in the Inverness Half-Marathon fundraiser by his Co-operative Pharmacy pal Willie Duffus (34), who is a dispensing assistant at the High Street outlet.
The dynamic duo, both adult cadet volunteers with Ross Company, 1st Battalion the Highlanders, began training in November and will run the 13-mile Inverness Half Marathon on March 14 for CLIC Sargent.
The charity is particularly close to Stuart's heart as it has provided invaluable support to Eilidh during her period of treatment at the Glasgow hospital.

Stuart said, "CLIC Sargent has offered huge support to our family at a difficult time by providing comfortable accommodation on site at Yorkhill and a community nurse has visited Eilidh regularly. I wanted to do something worthwhile to support the charity so Willie suggested the half marathon."
Willie added, "So far we've received some fantastic support from our colleagues at work, the cadets and members of the community so we're hoping to smash the target."
They can be sponsored by visiting the pharmacy branch or food store and asking a member of staff.
