Mhairi Sigrist, former pupil of Dingwall Academy, graduated PhD in Vascular Medicine from the University of Nottingham. Mhairi graduated in absentia as she has recently started a post-doctoral position at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.

Carina Thomson, a former pupil of Dingwall Primary and Dingwall Academy, graduated HND Hospitality Management from Inverness College UHI.

David R Smith, graduated from the University of Edinburgh, Master of Engineering (1st Hons) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. He is a former pupil of Newmore Primary School and Invergordon Academy and is the eldest child of Fred Smith, Pitmaduthy and Maxine Smith, Invergordon.

Lesley Thompson, Knockbreck Road, Tain graduated from Heriot Watt University with a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics. She is a former pupil of Knockbreck Primary School and Tain Royal Academy.

Struan Sawalnyski graduated from Edinburgh University MA (Fiirst Class Honours) in Russian Studies with German. Struan was formerly a pupil of Dingwall Academy.

Eilidh Sutherland, Stagcroft Park, Tain has graduated from the University of Edinburgh BSc (Hons) in Medical Biology. She is former pupil of Craighill Primary and Tain Royal Academy.

Kate Stephen, Balloch graduated BSc Rural Development Studies from Lews Castle College (UHI). Kate is a former pupil of Maryburgh Primary School and Culloden Academy.

Amy Sutherland, Kingsway Avenue, Tain, graduated from The University of Glasgow with an MA (Hons) in History. Amy is a former pupil of Knockbreck Primary School and Tain Royal Academy.

Graham A Skinner, Carrie-Brae, Park Street, Balintore, graduated from The University of Strathclyde with a Masters Degree in Chemistry with First Class Honours. He is a former pupil of Hilton of Cadboll Primary and Tain Royal Academy.

Shonagh Stewart graduated from Edinburgh University with a B.Ed Honours Degree in Primary Education. She is a former pupil of Dingwall Academy and is the eldest daughter of Angela and the late John Stewart.

Isobel Sutherland graduated from the University of Dundee with a First Class Honours Degree as a Bachelor of Primary Education. She was a pupil of Dingwall Primary and former Head Girl of Dingwall Academy and is the elder daughter of Murdo and Elizabeth.

John Ross graduated from UHI Inverness College with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction. He is the son of Hector and Janette Ross, Saltburn, and a former pupil of Invergordon Academy. John is currently studying for a professional graduate diploma in Secondary Education Technology at Aberdeen University.

Jemma Sutherland graduated BA in Childcare and Youth Studies from the UHI Millennium Institute. She is a former pupil of Tarradale Primary and Dingwall Academy and is the daughter of Sandy and Louise Sutherland, Muir of Ord. She will study for her Post Graduate Diploma in Primary Education at Glasgow University.

Paula Stewart graduated from Stirling University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She is a former pupil of Alness Academy, and is at present employed by NHS Highland as a Community Nurse in Tain.

Graham Sargent, former pupil of Ferintosh Primary and Dingwall Academy graduated from the Metropoliton College, Glasgow, with an HND in Culinary Art with Management. He is currently employed as Pastry Chef in the prestigious Rogona Restaurant in Glasgow.

Georgina Stone, daughter of MSP Jamie and Flora Stone, passed out from RAF Cranwell, the RAF officer training college. She is receiving the BAE Systems Trophy from Air Marshall Thornton. Georgina was educated at Tain Royal Academy and St Andrews University (MA in International Relations) before she joined the RAF. She is going into the Intelligence branch of the RAF.

Hannah Smith graduated from Dundee University as a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She is the granddaughter of Tony and Elma Johnstone, formerly of Dingwall, and the great granddaughter of the late Marion Johnstone.

Jayne Shewan, Maryburgh, graduated BA in Community Health Nursing (District Nursing) with Specialist Practice from Roberrt Gordon University, Aberdeen. She also received the Queen's Nursing Institute Scotland Prize for the best student.
