Katie Mackenzie, a former pupil of Dingwall Academy, graduated BA (Hons) in Scottish Music from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD). Her main discipline was Gaelic Song which she studied under Kenna Campbell. She started her musical career with the Kiltearn Fiddlers and Fèis Rois and during her time at RSAMD sang and played the clàrsach at a number of prestigious occasions including performances for the Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla and the First Minister as well as concerts in Germany, Denmark, France, the Netherlands and the USA. Katie, daughter of Donald and Fiona Mackenzie, is going back to her studies to undertake a postgraduate MSc in Public Relations at Stirling University in the autumn.

Morven Mackay graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a MB ChB with Honours and BSc Med Sci (Hons). She was the top graduate in Medicine, winning the Murray Medal, the Keith Medal for Surgery and the Hendry Medal for Orthopaedics. A former pupil of Fortrose Academy, she is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Iain Mackay of North Kessock, and granddaughter of the late Mr John Mackay, former headmaster of Avoch Primary School. She is currently working in Raigmore Hospital.
