This picture of the shinty team from Fodderty Primary School was probably taken in 1947. Noticeable is that the shinty camans are home-made, as this was just after the war and it was impossible to obtain the real thing. Someone did donate real camans to the school later and these were much prized as everyone had to take turns using them.
