A 25-year-old man had died following an incident in Easter Ross, police have confirmed.
Northern Constabulary say they're attending an incident on the outskirts of Alness.
The alarm was raised after a call-out to the Scottish Ambulance Service around 12.20pm this afternoon (Thursday).
Police said the ambulance had been called out on a medical matter.
A spokesperson said: "Officers attended and a 25-year-old man was found to be deceased.
"At this time there is no information to indicate that there are any suspicious circumstances.
"Further details in relation to the matter and in regard to the identity of the deceased will not be released until next of kin have been made aware."
