ROSS County Football Club has appointed a lifelong fan to a new post that will see him become the voice of fellow supporters.
Kenny MacLennan was this week unveiled as the club’s supporter liaison officer. In the new role, he will be an advocate for supporters and ensure that their opinions, suggestions and feedback is communicated to the club. He will also be a regular fixture at both home and away matches during the coming season, acting as a point of contact for supporters and listening to any issues or concerns raised and passing them on to the club.
General manager, Emily Wilson, said: “The club has had a real focus on listening to the fans in recent months via supporters’ meetings. The next logical step was to appoint a supporter liaison officer which we recognise is a vital position with regard to improving relationships with fans and getting a greater insight into their viewpoint. I wish Kenny the best of luck in his new role and look forward to working with him in the coming season.”
Kenny said: “I am delighted to have been approached by the club to take on the role of SLO and look forward to working with them. It is important that supporters see they are able to have their concerns raised and understood by the club and that the fans have an input and that their concerns are being listened to. As a lifelong Ross County fan it’s in my interests to do my best to help strengthen the communication between the fans and the club and I am relishing the challenge.”
Any supporters who would like to contact Kenny can do so on SLO@rosscountyfootballclub.co.uk or 07812933029.
Supporters are also invited to follow the new SLO Twitter account, which he will be using: @RCFC_SLO
